There are a few ways you can improve the experience for users in a digital product. Making the experience more unique to each individual is one of them. Almost all the different ways of achieving that can be categorized into two categories: customization and personalization. What are they, and how can they improve UX for a user? Let’s find out.

An experience that is unique to every user is more attractive than a one-size-fits-all general one. Take, for example, Spotify, Apple Music, or Youtube. The content is different according to which user is logged in.

What if all our homepages and suggestions were the same? It would be a lot less exciting. This is what can be changed with customization and personalization. It helps designers and developers create unique experiences for every user. …

I got you off on a hook, right?

In short, this is clickbait. But today, we are here to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly about clickbait. Often seen as a wasteful marketing strategy, clickbait has been this one thing showered with step-motherly treatment in marketing.

But the harsh truth is clickbait is one of the most effective marketing strategies that is tried and tested by marketers over generations.

Clickbait was not born in the 21st century, and the earliest successful clickbait campaigns go as far as the 1800s. …

If there was one thing I could tell my early entrepreneur self, it is most definitely “to have a marketing plan.”

I learned the hard way that not having a marketing and plan and not having a business plan that does not prioritize marketing is a futile attempt at entrepreneurship, delivering no possible outcome.

So here is how it all started!

Attempt #1

At the time I started my first venture, I had a decent knowledge of iOS development and a little bit of UI/UX design.

During that time, businesses were booming, and there were plenty of new small businesses starting up. With the digital surge, I figured that there was potential for our product in the market. …

Frameworks help us build a different style or functionality for our products with ease. And thanks to them we don’t need to re-invent the wheel. Not long ago I have come across a CSS framework so-called Nes.css which helps you build nostalgic style interfaces.

Let’s re-design and build Medium’s homepage and story page as if we are living in the 90s. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is more than enough for this project. You need an internet connection and a text editor. I prefer Visual Studio Code but any editor (Sublime Text, Atom, Brackets, etc.) would do it well.

Firstly let’s create a project folder and files. …

Remote work is one of the hottest topics today, it is not only good for lowering huge office costs but also bringing ease to businesses. Thanks to technological improvements, remote work is now commonly used by companies and freelancers. According to FlexJobs remote work increased 400% over the last 10 years.

Working from home will save both employee and employer time. Thanks to remote work, people have more time for themselves instead of spending time going to work and back home. It also provides you with the flexibility that you can choose the place to work, even during travel.

When an employee doesn’t feel good, giving the opportunity to work from home stops the spread of illness. Remote work is the best way to increase the limit so that you can get more customers and top talents worldwide without moving to other countries. …

Believing in ourselves is very difficult sometimes. We even think that we are obliged to achieve something to gain self-trust and belief. Only after these circumstances are completed we are free to do so. The reason for this is living as a human being in a social world is a bit competitive. We compare ourselves with others by nature.

If it is in nature, is there any way to avoid it?

Yes. Not easy but, yes. And again, mankind is the source of this difficulty. The first step is not to love yourself. You wouldn't love the one you don’t know. In order to love, trust, and believe, you need to know yourself and beware of the fact that “Everything starts with you.”

We all had a dream in our childhood. To be a dentist, an astronaut, a Hollywood star, etc. We simply wanted to create a character out of ourselves. Possibilities may vary and none of them is easy to be. Sometimes you have to work very hard for it, and sometimes all you need is luck.

Some people follow their dreams and minority get it. But unfortunately, the majority usually give up. Because it is easy to be lazy and continue with daily routines.

Thanks to social media, we are now able to do whatever we wanted to, and whoever we dreamed to be. …

The average length of human life is 75 years. And school life (with higher education) is around 15–20 years, more or less a quarter of life.

Imagine that you are a kid, and sent to a building that is full of designers who have all the rights over your brain. Each of these designers is called “teacher”. And this process is so-called “education”. The common sense of schools is to “educate” kids so that they can become successful individuals. …
